Check-in counters open three hours before departure.
As a general rule to avoid unpleasant surprises caused by
airport congestion and security procedures we recommend you
arrive at airports no later than 3 hours before. However,
passengers are strongly advised to check applicable local
airport requirements.
For the convenience of our passengers travelling in Business class as well as Elite card holders, dedicated
Check-in counters are available at all airports (except
Reunion and Rodrigues)
At Check in, business class passengers as well as

Subject to seat availability, a passenger holding an economy class ticket may request for upgrading to Business Class at SSR International Airport in Mauritius against payment of a supplement. We will be pleased to assist you with all information at the time of check-in.
In order to ensure on time departures we close boarding
gates 15 minutes before departure time.
We therefore recommend you report to the gate at latest
30minutes before departure.
Failure to report to that gate at closure time may result in
you missing the flight.
A plastic Baggage Wrapping service provided by World Safe Wrap Limited is available at the departure hall of SSR International Airport, Mauritius. Passengers may use this service at a fee per luggage piece.

Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) also known as body scanners have been deployed at some UK airports, including London Heathrow.

for Questions and Answers on Body scanners issued by the UK Department for Transport.
Your attention is drawn to the following quote from the DfT Q&A document:
Q. CAN PASSENGERS CHOOSE TO BE SCREENED BY AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD?
A. If selected for body scanning, you will not be offered an alternative method of screening. Refusal to be screened will result in you not being allowed to travel. We appreciate that this may appear harsh, but it is necessary in order to maintain security levels. When passengers book an airline ticket, they do agree to be subjected to the security measures in force for their own protection.
Complementary information is available on the DfT website at

Each airport establishes minimum connecting times. At the
time of reservation please ensure you familiarise yourself
with these.
Whenever possible, at your request, we will check your

While in transit you will have to undergo security screening
once again, restrictions on Liquids,
aerosols and gels may apply.
