Our exit row seats give you more legroom to stretch out. You can choose to enjoy that extra comfort for a more pleasant journey with us.

A limited number of these seats are available in our Economy Class cabins on the A340 and A330 aircraft.

For only a small additional fee, you can be among the privileged few in the cabin to benefit from extra legroom.

How to book

You can buy your exit row seat only when you check in at the airport. We offer them on a first come first serve basis subject to availability.

Terms and Conditions

Exit row seats are situated either next to or immediately behind the emergency exit door. Passenger occupying an exit row seat must fulfill specific requirements.
The exit row seats are allocated under Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) rules and our General Conditions of Carriage. In the event of a medical emergency, you may need to move seat, in which case a full refund will be given.
Exit row seats are non-transferable.

Requirements for passengers occupying an Exit Row Seat

Please read this important notice carefully if you intend to be seated at an emergency exit.

Passengers seated next to an emergency exit must be able to assist crew members and other passengers in the event of an emergency.

If you are seated at an emergency exit, you must

be able to locate the emergency exit
be able to read English or French well enough to understand these instructions, follow hand signals and oral directions given by cabin crew and assess whether opening the emergency exit will increase the hazards to which passengers may be exposed
be able to hear and speak well enough to understand English or French commands and be able to give information in English or French to cabin crew and other passengers during an emergency
possess the strength, dexterity or mobility in both arms, hands and legs to quickly open the exit, go through it, clear the exit row of obstructions, dispose of the emergency exit door so that it will not impede the use of the exit. (Window hatches do not weigh more than 20kg)
be able to assess, select and follow a safe path away from the emergency exit. Be willing to help other passengers away from the aircraft
if applicable, be able to assess the condition of an escape slide, activate the slide and stabilize the slide after deployment to assist others in getting off the slide
be at least 15 years of age
have no responsibilities such as caring for small children, that might prevent you from performing one or more of the applicable functions
be able to perform these functions without harming yourself due to an existing condition
be free of any indiscernible condition that would prevent you from performing the applicable functions.
