Discover the new Mauritius Golf Passport

As from this week, the new Mauritius Golf Passport is now a reality.  An initiative from the Ministry of Tourism, the golf passport aims to build upon and strengthen the development of golf in Mauritius, and help to support the industry during the low season.

This means it’s now possible to play all of the 18-hole courses in Mauritius at a uniform rate. From 1 May to 30 September 2015, the ‘Green Fee’ will be 50 Euros (Rs 2,000) on any of the eight 18-hole golf courses on the island. This rate does however exclude the rental of golf carts.

At the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Xavier Luc Duval, golfers who are resident exclusively in golf hotels from May to September 2015 will receive their free golf passport.

“The operation of the Golf Passport is simple,” said Michael Geerdharry, president of the Mauritius Golf Tourism Association. “Once your golf hotel booking is binding, you can contact your resort’s Club House and make reservations at the golf courses of your choice. The payment of the Green Fee will be on-site, on the day of play, directly to the golf course you’ve booked to play.”

The participating golf courses are as follows:

18-holes - Belle Mare Plage Legends

- Belle Mare Plage Links

- Four Seasons Golf Course at Anahita

- Gymkhana Golf Club

- Heritage Golf Club

- Ile Aux Cerfs Golf

- Tamarina Golf

- Paradis Golf

9-holes (two rounds played from different tee-off points) - Le St. Geran Golf
