Fodor’s Travel Guides recently published an article ‘10 Reasons to Take the Family to Mauritius’.

The guide picks nature reserves and botanical gardens, outdoor water sports, 100-year-old Aldabra tortoises, family-friendly resorts and vibrant shopping markets as some of the highlights.

One pick Ile Aux Cerfs it says is “where locals themselves get away for the day… a 15-minute boat ride from the main island, (it) has white sand coves, golf courses, sunbathing spots, and clear waters peppered with starfish and colourful ocean life, making it prime for snorkelling.”
