The Omnicane Southern Tropical Challenge is a mountain bike stage race for two-rider teams, first run in 2009. The event was a success and has grown exponentially in the subsequent years, with a further stage added in 2010.

The event is named the Southern Tropical Challenge as it’s raced in the southern part of the island, the best place for mountain biking due to its wilder nature and more varied topography, with plenty of tough, steep slopes to test the hardiest of athletes. All kinds of terrain and trail surfaces are featured, including mountains, sand, forest, rocks and sea.

Every rider must enter as part of a two-person team, and register in one of the following categories: Mens, Ladies, Mixed, Sub-21 and Masters (40+). Entry includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner) and tented accommodation in dedicated race villages.

The race takes place from 27 – 30 November 2014 and entry is limited to 120 teams…. so don’t delay, and reserve your place today.
