Before packing your baggage, we strongly recommend you
consider the following:
- The free baggage allowance per passenger (adult or child) on Air Mauritius is as follows:
|
| Business Class |
30 Kg |
| Economy Class |
23 Kg |
The 2-piece concept applies to travel between the USA/Canada and Mauritius (via Europe or Hong Kong) when the passenger is traveling on through tickets. Each piece should not exceed 20 kg. However if the passenger is traveling on separate tickets on the transatlantic or transpacific sectors, then the 2-piece concept will not apply.
If travel on transatlantic sectors is on Air Canada the 2-piece luggage facility will not apply if the passenger breaks his/her journey at the intermediate point. For travel on other airlines the 2-piece concept applies even if the passenger breaks his/her journey at the transit point.
The 2-piece concept does not apply to infant passengers (below two years) who will benefit from a free baggage allowance of 10 kg plus one pram and one piece of cabin baggage on international flights.
