Long Haul Beauty Regime:

Have you ever wondered how celebrities step off of their long haul flights looking flawless and relaxed, yet when the shoe is on the other foot, you can’t help but look and feel exhausted after sitting in the same seat for hours on end? Hmm, me too.

I’ve done my fair share of travelling this year and still have another 6 countries to visit until the year is up. One thing that I’ve realised on my travels is the effect that it has on my skin. After months of dipping and diving into different beauty flight regimes, I’ve finally found one that works! So sit back, grab a cuppa and find out the secret to feeling and looking like an A-Lister when arriving at your holiday destination!

1. Hair

Before your flight takes off, grab your hair band and put your hair into a high bun. Out of sight, out of mind. The last thing you want is your hair getting in the way when you’re trying to relax and get comfortable. Make sure that you pack a travel size Argon Oil to run through the ends of your hair before leaving the flight to lock in the moisture.

2. Skin

Have you noticed that your skin tightens up and becomes irritated while you’re on a flight? This is because the air on board is more than twice as dry than on the ground. A moisturiser will become your best friend during your long haul flights. My favourite so far is the Garnier Moisture Match Ultra Hydrating, I swear by this product! It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated without having to use that much product. Oh, and don’t forget a hydrating lip balm!

3. Makeup

Makeup + a Long haul flight? Ain’t nobody got time for that! Make sure you have a packet of face wipes in your bag because you’re going to need them if you’ve applied makeup before your flight. Having makeup on during a long haul flight isn’t going to do you any favours as your skins surface needs space to breathe. Take a small makeup bag on board with you with the products that you want to wear and apply just before you’re set to land!

4. Sunglasses

I know that I said a good moisturizer will be your best friend on board but you can have two best friends right? After your flight you’re bound to still feel tired and the trick is to hiding this is a great set of frames to hide away the tired eyes.

5. Footwear

Comfy slippers and flight socks are a must-have. There's nothing worse than walking off a flight with swollen feet. Eeek!

Now that you've seen my tips for long haul flights. I hope that this will help you kick start your relaxing holiday from the time that you step onto your flight!
