Music all summer in Barcelona
There are many reasons to visit Barcelona – ‘a daily siesta, glass of sangria and the Mediterranean sunshine’ to name just three – but this piece in Harper Bazaar also describes Barcelona as ‘the best place to visit for a mix of music and luxury this summer’.
If you’re a music lover, the city, says the piece, is host to ‘some of the biggest music festivals in the world’.
It says ‘Barcelona comes alive at the start of summer each year during Sónar, a festival that attracts electronic-music and creative-arts lovers from all over the world’.
2018 was ‘the 25th edition’. And next year looks ‘to be the best yet (the dates for next summer are 18-20 July)’.
There’s also the Barcelona Beach Festival – ‘with a line-up guaranteed to please dance-music fans’; and DGTL Barcelona – ‘with its Dutch origins going beyond the festival experience by displaying stunning conceptual-art installations’, and its ‘efforts in becoming a sustainable festival’.
Finally, Benicàssim, located between Barcelona and Valencia, aims for ‘the best in rock, indie and alternative music’, says Harper Bazaar, and ‘has been a firm favourite for over two decades for those looking to combine a music festival with sunshine and seaside’.
