Hilton Mauritius re-opens in style
In the village of Flic-en-Flac on the west coast of Mauritius, the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa is preparing to re-open after five months of extensive renovations, which sees the hotel evolve into a contemporary oriental style property with an entirely new category of guest rooms.
This is the first major overhaul of the resort since its opening in 2001. The refurbishment includes the development of new restaurants and bars, a new modern lobby area, improved wi-fi access, and the creation of new Grand Deluxe rooms, which were carefully designed to elevate the guest experience. Modern fixtures mix with warm inviting colours and sophisticated new furniture, while fully re-imagined bathrooms feature stunning sea views from the shower area and separate tub.
The hotel now features three restaurants and three bars. La Pomme d’Amour offers delicious daily breakfasts and a Creole-inspired international buffet dinner; Ginger Thai serves typical cuisine with an increased seating capacity following the extension of its terrace, and the beachside Les Coquillages is ideal for lunch with your toes in the sand or a romantic dinner under the stars. Also completely renovated is Aqua Bar, located between the swimming pool and the beach – ideal for cold drinks and snacks during the day, or an early evening sundowner to accompany the west coast’s legendary sunsets.
The hotel re-opens on 7 January 2015.
