Opened earlier this month, the new Ravenala Attitude from island-based hotel group Attitude Hotels is the first 4-star all-suite hotel in Mauritius.

Located on Turtle Bay in Balaclava on the north east coast, the property is set among vast tropical gardens and features separate wings for adults and families, with couples suites, family suites and exclusive beachfront adult suites available.

The venue has a particular focus on food and drink, with 10 distinctive dining and bar spaces to try. Three of these are exclusively for adults, including Japan-meets-Mauritius hotspot Lime, and floating seafood grill Riviera.

Like Attitude Hotels’ other properties, its Otentik Attitude programme offers guests the chance to enjoy authentic Mauritian experiences, including cultural tours, visits to the market, dinner in a local home or learning how to cook some favourite dishes from the island’s diverse range of cuisines. Or if you’re more of a water babe, you can try your hand at paddle boarding, windsurfing or kitesurfing, or head out into the open ocean for a spot of scuba diving or fishing.

Kids are well looked after at the Mini Club, with a special teenager’s hideout and the Ayo Le dodo club for children from 3 – 12 years. And parents are certainly not neglected either, with a spa featuring 10 individual massage rooms, plus a hammam, sauna and relaxation lodge.
