Made in Mauritius blog is finalist at 2015 Travolution Awards

We’re delighted to announce that our Made in Mauritius blog has been chosen as a finalist at this year’s Travolution Awards in the category ‘Best Use of Content Marketing’.

Exceptional content marketing has been at the heart of our blog since it launched in December 2013, positioning Air Mauritius alongside the destination to help us succeed in a very competitive market.

We have enjoyed working with everyone from small local businesses to start-ups, and major hotels and global brands, and this strategic collaborative approach has transformed the way we talk about Mauritius. The result has been to position Air Mauritius as the leading authority for destination content, through the blog, and it has transformed the way we work with partners on the island.

Most importantly, we have succeeded in creating an inspiring and innovative insider’s guide that communicates a single brand story: ‘Made in Mauritius’. This powerful statement, that being Made in Mauritius means something, has helped promote the destination and the airline to an international audience seeking new places to travel to and discover.

Prem Sewpaul, Head of Corporate Communications, Air Mauritius, said: “This recognition is a tribute to all of our partners who have contributed to creating rich and diverse content that reflects our legacy as an airline and as a country. The Travolution Awards recognise companies, brands and individuals who excel in the fields of online travel distribution, digital marketing and technology. The awards are judged by a proven panel of leaders, experts and entrepreneurs and acknowledge innovation and excellence online.

According to Travolution, the ‘Best Use of Content Marketing’ award looks to honour those sites who seek to “inspire and help customers in the dreaming phase of their buying journey” – an objective at the very heart of everything we do.

The winner will be announced on 30th November at The Ballroom, Southbank, London, UK.
