Mauritius has been awarded "Best Nature Destination" by Trip Advisor Travelers' Choice 2023.

A tiny paradise located in the Indian Ocean next to Madagascar, Mauritius, is best known for its warm blue lagoons and white sandy beaches. Visitors on the island love to stay in the resort areas (Mont-Choisy, Trou-aux-Biches, Belle Mare and Pereybere) along the coast spending the day swimming, basking in the sun or relaxing under filao trees. 

Mauritius is also a famous destination for nature lovers, enclosing beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails, protected forests and wildlife reserves.

Exploring Casela and La Vanille nature parks, which are also sanctuaries for endangered animals, is another popular recreational activity. For hiking, head to the mountains Le Morne Brabant, the Lion Mountain or Le Pouce for some adventure. Visitors are bound to be lured by the natural beauty of these landscapes and scenic views in particular the Seven Coloured Earth of Chamarel.
