Mauritius Festival Transforms London into Tropical Paradise
Londoners revelled this Summer when the Mauritius Open Air Festival came to the city, celebrating the island’s vibrant culture, food and drink.
More than 10,000 people visited Gunnersbury Park in August, to attend the event now in its seventh year. During the festival, guests could try Mauritian delicacies from around the island as they looked up to see brightly coloured flags waving in the wind.
Sega dancing went on all day at the event and visitors came from as far afield as Ireland and France to enjoy the day.
The BBC were at the event and you can listen to a clip from their World Service Focus on Africa here.
