The Air Mauritius One Take-off, One Tree Programme

take off

On 12th February we launched our official tree planting campaign at SSR International Airport. The campaign, which falls under the banner of our ‘One Take-off, One Tree’ programme, was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Development, Sustainable Development, Disaster and Beach Management, with 2,000 plants put at the disposal of our employees.

Air Mauritius remains committed to the environment, and at the launch of our campaign the responsible Minister, Honorable Raj Dayal congratulated us for the initiative. He also appealed to everyone present to work hard to combat climate change by reducing carbon emissions.

Initiatives like the One Take-off, One Tree programme are run in collaboration with the Mauritius Wildlife Foundation. We also support the conservation of certain endemic species of birds and are fully committed to the work of IATA and ICAO in their efforts to support the airline industry reduce its carbon emissions.
