In a somewhat intriguing story that appeared on Canadian news website TheProvince.com, broadcaster and writer Tara McGuire describes her fascination with a bird-shaped house during a prolonged stay in Mauritius.

Ms McGuire, who lived across the street from the house, describes how she spent a great deal of time wondering about the strange dove-topped building – and its occupant – before her curiousity finally got the better of her and she went to pay the property a visit.
