A famous winter sport in Switzerland is skiing. The ski season kicks off around December and ends around February. Snowfall is at its peak in January, and during this period, Swiss resorts are in full swing, with skiers and snowboarders flying in from all over the world to enjoy the powdery snow and spectacular Swiss Alps slopes. Fantastic ski runs can be found in many towns and villages, such as St. Moritz, Verbier and Davos.

If you are a ski beginner, don't worry. Most resorts in Switzerland offer ski classes for beginners, and there is an absolute abundance of beginner-friendly ski runs with gentle slopes. You may visit Wolli's Park at Sunnega, a well-known spot suitable for all ages, to experience their first snow-sliding thrills. From Sunnega, you can also admire the spectacular scenery of the Matterhorn, an Alpine mountain. Sunnega can be reached from Zermatt by a funicular.

Other snow fun activities include sledding, snow tubing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and ice skating. You can also visit Glacier 3000 Fun Park, a favorite family spot with its famous sledding activities for both children and parents to enjoy together. Don't forget to experience the magnificent view from the Peak Walk by Tissot, a bridge that connects two mountain peaks.
