Everyone of us has a preference when it comes to being seated onboard.
Choose a seat with extra legroom, a window seat for a spectacular view outside your window, an aisle seat to move around easily, a seat in the middle to be seated together with your family and friends, or just any other seat if you have no particular preference.
Avoid any disappointment by selecting your seat in advance, for a fee. This service is only applicable to Economy Class passengers.
EXIT SEATS WITH EXTRA LEGROOM
Our exit row seats give you more legroom to stretch out. You can be amongst the privileged few to benefit from this extra comfort!
A limited number of these seats are available (in Economy Class cabin) on the A350 and A330neo aircraft at an additional fee.

Terms and Conditions for being seated at an exit seat
Please read this important notice carefully if you intend to be seated at an emergency exit. Exit row seats are situated either next to or immediately behind the emergency exit door, and are allocated under Civil Aviation Authorities regulations and our Conditions of Carriage.
Passengers occupying exit row seats must fulfill specific requirements. If you are seated at an emergency exit, you must:
- be at least 15 years of age.
- be able to locate the emergency exit.
- be able to assist crew members and other passengers in the event of an emergency.
- be able to understand and follow commands and hand signals given by Cabin Crew during an emergency evacuation.
- be able to assess whether opening the emergency exit will increase the hazards to which passengers may be exposed.
- possess the strength, dexterity or mobility in both arms, hands and legs to quickly open the exit, clear the exit row of obstructions, where applicable, dispose of the emergency exit door so that it will not impede the use of the exit and then evacuate. (Window hatches do not weigh more than 20kg).
- if applicable, be able to activate an escape slide, check its inflation and stability prior to evacuation.
- be willing to help other passengers once outside.
- be able to assess, select and follow a safe path away from the aircraft.
have no responsibilities such as caring for small children and be free from any discernible condition that might prevent you from performing the applicable functions; notably, pregnant women and passengers with reduced mobility are not eligible for exit seats. - be able to perform these functions without harming yourself due to an existing condition.
Exit row seats are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable.
Exit seats are not guaranteed even if the seat reservation is confirmed, and Air Mauritius reserves the right to change the seating for operational, safety or, security or medical emergency reasons, even after boarding the aircraft, in which case a full refund of the price paid to reserve a specific seat, where applicable, will be given. Air Mauritius decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
DUO SEATS
Enjoy more privacy together with a spectacular view outside your window.
If you are travelling with a companion, you may choose a Duo seat.
Duo seats are the two window seats on the left and right-hand sides of the A330neos.

PREFERRED SEATS
If you prefer to be among the first to disembark the aircraft, then this seat is for you!
Preferred seats are the middle row seats in Economy class located in the first cabin (excluding the Duo seats on the left and right-hand sides on our A350s and A330neos).

STANDARD SEATS
If you have no particular preference for Exit, Duo, or Preferred Seat, then choose any other seat on the aircraft.

HOW TO BOOK A SEAT
You may book your seat in one of the following ways:
- At the time of purchase of your ticket.
- After you have bought your ticket, by going to Manage Booking on our website.
- Through our Call Centre, at any time.
Seat reservation on flights operated by partner airlines
On flights operated by code share partners, advanced seat reservation will be as per the partner airline’s policy. Please contact them directly to reserve your seat.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please note that this fee will only be applicable to flights operated by Air Mauritius. On flights operated by code share partners, advanced seat reservation facility will be as per the partner’s policy.
Seat reservation is not guaranteed, even if confirmed and paid in advance, and Air Mauritius reserves the right to change the seating for operational, safety or security reasons, even after boarding the aircraft. Kindly read our Conditions of Carriage for more details.
Further, we request you to note that the advanced seat reservation fee will be non-refundable and non-transferable, except on an involuntary basis where Air Mauritius is unable to re-accommodate the passenger with a similar seat, due to a change of aircraft, for instance.
Air Mauritius reserves the right to terminate or modify or otherwise change these Terms and Conditions at its own discretion and without prior notice.
These Terms and Conditions will be governed by Mauritian Law and you agree to be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Mauritian Courts.
