Does Mauritius have a hidden underwater waterfall?

 

Underwater waterfall Over on Huffington Post Travel, a series of photographs reveals one of the world’s most unusual optical illusions – and it’s right here on our doorstep.

Described as a ‘hidden underwater waterfall’ lying just off Le Morne at the southwestern tip of the island, the phenomenon is in fact nothing more than sand from the shores of Mauritius being driven down off the high coastal shelf by ocean currents. But the aerial views from above are both deceiving and spectacular.
