Mauritius: Pause vs Play
A new article in Travel Weekly called ‘Pause vs Play’ discovers that Mauritius can be as exciting a destination as it is relaxing.
It starts off by reminding travellers that it’s certainly an escape like no other to take it easy. It says: “It didn’t take long to fall in love with Mauritius; mango trees, sugar plantations and giant palms populate the landscapes, and locals greet you with warm smiles. There’s a sense of tranquillity everywhere you go, and it’s perfectly acceptable to spend days doing nothing other than watching the tide gently ripple back and forth, mojito in hand.”
But it says Mauritius is “no one trick pony” and there’s lots to explore in its “sugar-cane landscapes and protected coral reefs”. It also says that it may be the ideal destination for “couples or families whose tastes might not always quite go hand in hand.”
Here’s their picks for ‘pause’ and ‘play’:
Pause:
– Wellness breaks
– Boat trips
Play:

– Golf
