The Chief Commissioner of Rodrigues and Air Mauritius finalize a hybrid agreement

Further to a meeting held on 05 June 2025 between Franceau Grandcourt G.O.S.K Chief Commissioner of Rodrigues Regional Assembly of Rodrigues and Air Mauritius, an agreement has been reached for the benefit of all parties.

This agreement provides a compromise between what was applicable in the past and the new measures proposed by Air Mauritius. This new agreement takes effect as from 09 June 2025

 •          For travel on the route Rodrigues – Mauritius - Rodrigues, the following measures will apply for tickets originating from Rodrigues only:

1.         A firm booking is required on the sector Rodrigues-Mauritius. The return leg Mauritius-Rodrigues can be open.

2.         There is no time limit as to when the return leg Mauritius-Rodrigues can be confirmed (provided the return date is less than one year).

3.         Once the return leg has been booked free of charge, any subsequent change will entail a penalty of MUR 500.

4.         For tickets originating from Mauritius, the existing conditions will prevail.

5.         Exclusions as per established procedures will remain unchanged.

The exclusions mentioned relate, inter alia, to Air Mauritius's compassion policy for passengers who need to travel to Mauritius for medical care and to the flexible arrangements to prioritise immediate family members of a deceased person, subject to availability of seats.
