At Air Mauritius, we want to give you the freedom to travel your way as far as possible. You can carry items that need to be handled with extra care or caution as long as you take into account our recommendations regarding such special baggage.
Ship models will be accepted as checked baggage for a fee. The dimensions (length + width + height) must not exceed 158 cm.

We recommend that you avoid packing fragile, valuable and perishable items in your checked baggage.
Air Mauritius cannot accept any liability whatsoever for damage to articles which are not permitted to be transported in checked baggage, including fragile or perishable items, items having a special value, such as money, jewellery, precious metals, computers, personal electronic devices, negotiable papers, securities, or other valuables, business documents, passports and other identification documents or samples.
Hence, Air Mauritius advises you to contract additional third-party insurance for such items.

If you need to carry medication, we advise that you pack it in your hand baggage and carry with you the corresponding medical prescriptions (which may be requested from you by security or customs officials). For medication in LAGs (liquids, aerosols, and gels) form, you will need to comply with the restrictions on LAGs.
