The pregnancy period is an exciting and emotional one, and we know how important it is for expectant mothers to feel comfortable and relaxed. This page provides some key information to help expectant mothers plan and prepare for their trip.
Expectant mothers with normal pregnancies may travel on Air Mauritius up until their 28th week of pregnancy, unless otherwise advised by their doctors.
Please contact our 24/7 Reservation team at [email protected] for your booking. Do inform us of your travel plans at least 72 hours before departure, to allow sufficient time to process your medical clearance.
Further, some authorities (for example, Malaysian authorities) refuse entry to foreign women with advanced pregnancies beyond six months (equivalent to the end of week 27 of your pregnancy), except if they are in transit for less than 72 hours, with no extensions allowed.
While we try our utmost to provide you with all information in advance, it is recommended you check with the concerned authorities of the countries you intend to visit prior to your travel.
If you have any special requirements, such as an aisle seat for easier access to the restroom or refreshment areas, we request you to book your seat at the time of making your reservation.
If you have already booked your ticket, click on link below to do so.
Should you have any special meal requirements, please specify same at the time of booking.
You can also do so afterwards from the below link.
We provide extra pillows, blankets, or refreshments during the flight. Whatever you need, our crew will be happy to help.
Your comfort matters, more so in this special period. These simple steps can make your journey with Air Mauritius even more enjoyable and stress-free:
Choose clothing in layers for flexibility and comfort throughout your journey.
Consider wearing compression stockings to aid blood circulation during the flight.
Select an aisle seat for easy access, allowing you to walk around periodically.
Keep hydrated with regular drinks, but opt for non-carbonated options.
Enjoy your meals in moderation, avoiding overly large portions.
Fasten your seat belt low on the pelvis for a comfortable fit.
Avoid journeys from week 37 of pregnancy and within 7 days post-childbirth.
