Air Mauritius has been voted Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline and our Amédée Maingard Lounge was voted Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline Lounge at this year’s World Travel Awards.

We are particularly proud of these prizes as the World Travel Awards are voted for by members of the public based on their own experience.

This is the 10th year in which we have been voted Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline reflecting our determination to offer the very best service to our customers.

The Amédée Maingard Lounge at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, Mauritius, has won its first award, an honour we hope to repeat.

Air Mauritius CEO, André Viljoen, said, ‘As this award is a result of public vote we are proud that our efforts are being recognized by the public as well as trade and travel professionals.

‘I wish to dedicate these awards to all team members of Air Mauritius who have been consistently stepping up our services to attract and retain our valued customers.’

The awards come at an important time for us – following our Skytrax 4 Star Status and the announcement that Airbus A350-900 will be joining our long-haul fleet from 2017.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge and reward standards of excellence across the travel and tourism industry.
