Getting festive in the kitchen with Brinda Bungaroo
Looking for something a bit different for the festive season? We’re delighted to share a recipe for saffron baked salmon fillet with king prawns or mushroom, cooked to perfection by food blogger Brinda Bungaroo. As Brinda says, cooking a whole fillet of salmon is something of a showstopper, so this easy-to-prepare dish is the perfect recipe to have up your sleeve at this time of year.
Brinda, who was brought up in Mauritius and now lives in the UK, is passionate about eating, cooking and entertaining for her family and friends, and has found an outlet for her creativity on her blog and her Instagram account. She cites her parents as her main inspiration – gaining her cooking skills from her mum and her ability to appreciate food from her dad – and over time she has gradually developed recipes and continued to improve her culinary skills.
Check out her blog for all manner of tasty Mauritian-inspired delights, from Taro Stew Mauritian Style, to light and fluffy Madeleines flavoured with cardamom and vanilla seeds. And if you try one, let us know how you get on!
