Return of Flight MK748 on 7 October 2025 Following a Medical Emergency

Flight MK748 bound for Mumbai last night returned to Mauritius after approximately two hours of flight to disembark a passenger who had suffered a stroke on board.

Ground teams were informed of the decision to return to Mauritius at 19h15. The decision was taken after the accompanying doctor determined that the passenger would not be able to survive the journey to destination.

The aircraft landed at the airport at 21h18 and the passenger was disembarked at 21h33 and transferred to Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital.

The baggage of the passenger and accompanying family members was also offloaded at the same time.

The aircraft subsequently departed shortly after, in compliance with crew duty time limitations.

Reservation agents endeavoured to find new connections for passengers with onward flights.

The return flight MK749, initially expected in Mauritius today at 07h30, will instead arrive at 12h30.
