Reunion: An island to take your breath away

Among the many destinations you can visit from Mauritius, the tiny island of Reunion, 1,300 miles off the east coast of Africa but just half an hour away from Mauritius, is an absolute must.

A recent article outlined a shared history between the islands. It says: “It [Reunion] shares a bloodline with Mauritius, 140 miles away. Both burst into existence from the same volcanic hotspot, their mountainous hearts a reminder of violent beginnings.”

The article goes on to say that as well as luxury hotels to enjoy, the island is “made for adrenalin junkies” with experiences from exploring caves to whale spotting to enjoy.
