Flight MK 844 on 24 May 2026 delayed Air Mauritius wishes to inform passengers and the public that its flight MK 844 scheduled to operate from Cape Town to Mauritius on Sunday, 24 May 2026, is currently delayed due to a technical issue affecting the aircraft in Cape Town.

Passengers are being accommodated in hotels, taking into account the limited availability of rooms due to the high influx of visitors linked to the 2026 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, which took place during the weekend, and some conferences starting this week in Cape Town.

Air Mauritius apologizes for the inconvenience caused to its passengers who experienced an extended delay at the airport due to operational circumstances, including the closure of immigration counters and the airport personnel’s shift change at Cape Town International Airport.

We remain fully mobilised to provide assistance and care to affected passengers while actively exploring alternative solutions to transport them to Mauritius at the earliest opportunity.
