Air Mauritius 360 photo competition gallery

For anyone interested in wildlife and nature photography, now is one of the best times of year to capture Mauritius at its best. As summer reaches its peak, the island’s landscapes are greener than ever, and it’s a great time for wildlife spotting, too – a fact reflected beautifully in the 360 photo competition entries received so far.

The competition has been underway since October and we’ve been blown away by the quality of the images you’ve submitted, especially those depicting the depth and range of our island’s native flora and fauna. We’ve selected a few of our favourites to share with you, from the speckled eggs of the cardinal bird, to emerald green geckos, leaping dolphins and the delicate petals of a water lily flower. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Not entered yet? You still have until 5 January 2015 to submit your photographs, at which point our judges will select a shortlist for our Facebook fans to vote upon. Remember, we’re looking for your best Mauritius shots – something that sums up the essence and spirit of the island. All you need to do is post them on Instagram with the hashtag #airmauritius360 or upload them to the competition page on Facebook with the same hashtag. Good luck!
